Orange-Banded Metalmark

Parcella amarynthina

Description:

A female of "Parcella amarynthina".

Habitat:

I found this specimen in a bottle cap, in the garden of my grandfather, a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

Sounds like that the Females of this species are more difficult of see... So... "Yeah! I saw one!" A Male of the same specie: [ http://www.learnaboutbutterflies.com/Ama... ] [ http://www.butterfliesofamerica.com/L/t/... ]

How beautiful...at first glance looks almost "fragmented."

Oh yes, the same one. Females are more difficult to see than males. Wonderful spotting!
