Comb-clawed Beetle

Pseudocistela sp.

Description:

Black beetle with long antennae. The legs have red femurs and black tibia. At first I thought this was a comb-clawed beetle but the thorax looks wrong.

Habitat:

Chamise in chaparral.

Notes:

Sent to Bug Guide since suggested ID was out of range. They tentatively have it at Pseudocistela genus.
