Tenodera sinensis
A Christmas Tree Farm
Great find! Tori might be right, I raised a few praying mantids last year and they both laid egg sacs after getting a bit plump like that. By the way, the Chinese mantis is one of three mantids in Ohio; the other two are the Carolina mantis and the European mantis. Two of the three mantids found in Ohio are non-native, and none of them are on the endangered species list. For some reason, that's a prevalent rumor I've confronted many times.
