Mantispidae species
My first real encounter with a mantispidae, creature I always longed to see. I wouldn't expect it to be so awesome as letting to be handled, but it was! It kept looking for higher ground like a mantis, until eventually flew away.

Fun fact! This curious looking insect looks like a cross between a lacewing, a wasp and a praying mantis. It is in fact a mantisfly, and is more closely related to antlions, lacewings, and owlflies than the mantids.
