Western honey bee

Apis Mellifera

Description:

“A bee swarm. Bees are remarkably non-aggressive in this state as they have no hive to protect, and can be captured with ease.”

Notes:

This was my first sighting of bee(s). I was eager to photograph them in this remarkable state taking caution not to rouse or agitate them. Someone had noticed them and called my attention. We thought this was a rest-stop during a long migration.
