Tailed Weevil

Rhinotia suturalis

Description:

Very slender elongated weevil of about 18mm in length. Thorax and elytra are dimpled, giving a rough surface. A line of white hairs runs from the thorax down to the tip of the elytra. Base colour is black/dark grey with a reddish tinge on the legs. Antennae seem to have no elbow.

Habitat:

Scrub among Maleleuca trees.
