Blue Ringed Octopus - Juvenile

Hapalochlaena lunulata

Description:

The greater blue-ringed octopus (Hapalochlaena lunulata) is one of three (or perhaps four) species of venomous blue-ringed octopuses. This specimen is a Juvenile. The coin put next to it to show size comparison is 1.5 cm in diameter and the body of this Octopus is smaller than that, probably just around 1cm. Despite being a Juvenile, it already has the venom.
