Trogon melanocephalus
Photo take in my backyard. It easily is distinguished by its solid black upperparts, black tail with broad white tips to the outer rectrices, and dark eye with a pale blue eye ring. Females are similar in coloration but duller overall, with upperparts of dark slaty gray instead of iridescent black.
Open habitats, including plantations, secondary forest, gallery forest, and seasonally deciduous forests.
