Description:

Red elytrea and 4 dark dots and one elongated band of black spots behind pronotum. The dots are larger than for Coccinella septempunctata, and elliptic (not round), the central fore dot is diamond-shaped, and the 2 adjacent ones are merging with it.

Habitat:

Alpine tundra of Yellowstone National Park.
