Hurricane Irma made a mess but she brought me bugs to shoot in North Florida. This Florida bark mantis, grizzled mantis or lichen mimic is a species of praying mantis native to the Southern United States, primarily Florida.

These are great photographs! Sorry to here about the damage.We were holding our breath! It was hard to watch.Having experienced the Wrath of the Bombay monsoons, It was easy to relate a little.Out here in San Fransisco,we are on edge with Earthquakes! We are happy to see you safe and sound.
