Terrapene carolina bauri
This turtle similar to other Box Turtles w/ it's narrow and highly-domed shell. With a hinged plastron it is Abel to close its shell tightly. The FL Box Turtle has some differences in that it has a pattern of bright yellow stripes that make it easy to identify.
This turtle was crossing the road of a County Nature Preserve. It was leaving and traveling to another scrub oak type area.

I suspect this may be a Slider turtle (Trachemys sp.) of some kind. I am leaning towards a Yellow-bellied Slider, but I am having a difficult time finding one with such an interesting shell pattern. This does not appear to be a Box Turtle by the markings on the head and legs and the shape of the shell.
