Common Tailorbird or Tuntuni

Orthotomus sutorius

Description:

Tiny bird much smaller than a sparrow. Mossygreen upperparts.

Habitat:

On Polyalthia longifolia...I suspect it may have its nest here.

Notes:

Loud voice that belies its size and a voracious appetite for insects. Very much part of Bengal's folklore and fairytales. Much loved bird.

It's a lovely bird. Amazing way in which it builds the nest too.
