Widow Iris (Ίριδα η κονδυλόριζη)

Hermodactylus tuberosus

Description:

Widow Iris (Hermodactylus tuberosus) is a very common Greek wildflower, and there's large numbers of plants growing and blooming in our suburban area, Nea Dimitrias, Volos city, Greece. In the first pictures I spotted a single flower with 4 petals (one extra), instead of 3, wich is the caracteristic of the species. In the last pic, you may see a normal flower, spotted in the same area.
