Bleeding Stemonitis flavogenita?

Description:

This tiny patch of slime mold really stood out due to it's colour. It was about 40mm long and I stupidly touched it before taking pics (the dent on one side) Most importantly I have never seen the red 'bleed' before. The substrate was a well rotted eucalyptus log. It felt like touching a mess of detergent bubbles.

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve.

Notes:

I still have no idea of what caused the bleeding. Maybe just some capillary action from the wet log?
