Kodiak Bear Track

Ursus arctos middendorffi

Description:

The Kodiak Bear is the largest subspecies of brown bear and one of the two largest members of the bear family, the other being the polar bear. Kodiak bear populations are healthy and they enjoy a relatively pristine habitat and well managed fish populations.

Habitat:

This photo was taken at Fossil Beach. We found many dead bait fish washed ashore, as well as kelp. Very tall bluffs come up to the shore as well
