large. 8-12mm. japanese name: カメノコテントウ.
half shade river bank. they eat larva of leaf beetle Gastrolina depressa(クルミハムシ). Gastrolina depressa is on Juglans mandshurica(オニグルミ), Pterocarya rhoifolia(サワグルミ). these plants appear near river banks.
it was 1st time that I've found this ladybugs.
