Help!
Great image for the second picture. That is very helpful. This is not Phidippus audax (Bold Jumper), the color pattern on the abdomen does not match.I think your spider looks most like a female Phidippus clarus:http://bugguide.net/node/view/560757/bgi...http://bugguide.net/node/view/141924/bgi...http://bugguide.net/node/view/2036Her abdomen is a bit smaller but she might not be fully grown yet. See what you think!
added second view to help ID for sure
Thanks for the information http://www.projectnoah.org/users/ForestD... I will investigate that. I was not aware of the Regal in Ohio, but alas I am but a novice to this. You have some amazing spottings!
Cute spider! You have this labeled as Phidippus regius which is the Regal Jumper not the Bold Jumper. Color is probably correct for the Regal. http://bugguide.net/node/view/6790
Identified as immature female
