This is the first of several ladybugs that I saw with asymmetrical/deformed spots over the next couple of weeks. It scurried around too much for me to get a clear look or a clear picture but never flew away. Looking at the images alter I think it looks like a whole is in the middle of the dark splotch, so perhaps it couldn't fly.
