Shaheen Falcon

Falco peregrinus peregrinator

Description:

While the Shaheen Falcon is a widespread resident species in India, it is not known to frequent cities. However, this particular Falcon visits the high rise apartment building I live in, and lets me do some birdwatching from the balcony!

@Marta -- Yes, I am very lucky to see this bird so up close :) I keep hoping that it will return with a partner and make a nest somewhere nearby :)
