Description:

Adult Male. A large dragonfly, this species is distinguished in that the female is bright green and the adult male has a blue abdomen with a green face and green and blue thorax. Typically perches on the ground and is quite unwary, often appears to be following you around.

Habitat:

Edge of a large pond near a deciduous forest. Cleveland Metroparks System, North Chagrin Reservation, Mayfield, Ohio Cuyahoga County USA.
