Drexel's Datana Moth Caterpillar

Datana drexelii

Description:

This seems to be an uncommon caterpillar. It took a few days of searching before I found out what it was called. Named after Joseph Drexel of Drexel university fame.

Notes:

Saw while on a hike. This caterpillar was just crawling across our path and eye catching as it was, we took pictures. I'm no photographer, but this one turned out nice and clear. My fiancee has a couple of pictures that she took of it too.
