Description:

Atreus Caligo butterfly is striking when one moves into the forest. Despite being crepuscular, flying individuals are frequently observed at any time of day, when the days are dark or very cloudy, a condition common in Caribbean rainforests.

Habitat:

Forest edge, clearings, broken edges, paths within the primary and old secondary forest.
