ID: Alagoasa sp. (Flea beetles - Alticini)

About 50 species known from Brazil, some of them very, very variable in colour pattern, to make it more difficult . . .
You have two more observations of same, I see. In our selection on iNaturalist, it is not included, though A. libentina is similar:

OK Sckel, good theory. I get so much of it that I'm beginning to think it is an expression of affection. :)

Thanks, Lauren. When insects do poop and pee in front of us, are trying to say: 'I do not give a shit about you'.

This has to be a jumping Chrysomelidae - Leaf Beetle. He's beautiful. What is your theory about when insects poop on the face?

It is a small beetle, 6 mm. Haha. :) I think the hind legs thick serve as a spring to give a boost to the flight. Then the beetle escapes faster of the predator. I suppose. I'm not sure, but I have a theory about when the insects do poop on our face.

Cool bug/beetle/thing :) Those hindlimbs seems to be a bit unusual, right?
