Auricularia angiospermarum
Brown to cinnamon colored, gelatinous fruit bodies with folds and wrinkles. Auricularia angiospermarum is a species of jelly fungi in the family Auriculariaceae. It was once thought that the North American species of wood ear was Auricularia auricula-judae, but recent research has shown that it is not endemic to North America.
Found growing on a dead hardwood branch in a dense mixed hardwood forest.
