Purple-Heart Plant

Tradescantia pallida

Description:

I went outside around 7:00 a.m. in the morning, and I spotted some purple plants with some purple flowers on them, growing in my front yard. "Purple Heart", is a trailing, tender perennial, with purple stems, and violet-purple leaves, that produce pink, white, or purple flowers, in the summer. The leaves are pointed at the ends. Small, three petaled purple flowers, with yellow in the middle. Kingdom: Plantae Order: Commelinales Family: Commelinaceae.
