Cadmus (Cadmus) australis
A bright and common leaf beetle endemic to Tasmania, Australia.
Feeds on Eucalyptus of a wise range of species.
From the subfamily cryptocephalinae, named for their downward pointed heads, they are commonly called case bearing beetles, because their larvae are contained in a shell made from their own fecal matter and feed at ground level on leaf litter.
