Citrus Trunk Borer

Pseudonemophas versteegi (Anoplophora versteegi)

Description:

Large longhorn beetle, torcois blue with black spots. Each horn about 70 mm long.

Habitat:

Warm bushy area, surrounded by paddy fields.

Notes:

While I was photographing hang gliding under progress, I saw this longhorn settle on a nearby plant. I quickly shifted my focus onto him and started clicking with my mobile, may be it got disturbed by the flash, it simply rolled down and almost got into this puddle!
