Yucatan Jay

Cyanocorax yucatanicus

Description:

I saw several Yucatan Jays during my trip in Quintana Roo and Campeche, Mexico, but I wasn't able to get a photo of them. Finally, entering a dirt road in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve I saw this one and I took the photo from inside the car.

Habitat:

Native to deciduous forests of the Yucatan peninsula and nearby areas of Belize and Guatemala.
