The members of this genus are known in English as toadflax, a name shared with several related genera. The scientific name means "resembling Linum" (flax), which the foliage of some species superficially resembles. It is an iberian endemism

Habitat:

Appear in mountain prairies on acidic mountains. This one wasspotted at Parque Nacional de Sierrra de Guadarrama in n open area with dispersed pine trees (Pinus sylvestris)
