Description:

Color can be variable, though tend to have lighter colored throat and belly. Ears are proportionately large in relation to the head, and feet are small compared to the rest of the body. Coyotes living in mountainous areas tend to be darker in color than those living in desert areas.

Habitat:

Extremely adaptable, using a wide range of habitats such as grasslands, forests, swamps, and deserts. This particular spotting was just off Highway 89 near Glacier National Park, Montana, USA.
