Cardiaspina sp
Several beautiful lerps with nymphs sheltering under them. Pic 1 shows an adult beside the lerps and Pic 2 shows a nymph. The lerps look like clams with woven crystalline diamond shapes. The adult and nymph were found on neighbouring leaves.
Eucalyptus tree - ? species This tree had lerps on most of the leaves on lower branches.
These could be Cardiaspina densitexta but I am not quite sure ! Here's an interesting article about these lerps: http://www.adelaidebiplanes.com.au/go/ne... and here's more information about lerps and shapes: http://www.pir.sa.gov.au/forestry/forest... Lerps of this species are found between veins.

Thank you for looking at this spotting and for your comment, JanetFarr. These are so beautiful. We do have a lot to learn and hope to find more information on these.
Thanks for your input Janet. We are still to learn so much about these.
Cardiaspina densitexta and C. albitextura can look very similar.
