Spotted Towhee

Pipilo maculatus

Description:

Black hooded with black back and wings. Rusty flanks and white down it's chest. White wing bars that give the look of spots. Reddish brown eyes.

Habitat:

Usually found foraging under trees, shrubs and ground cover. But also can be seen up in trees calling and singing.
