Description:

Very large moth, really looks like a small bird when it flies. Dark chocolate brown, pale-clouded forewing, pink and black banded hindwing and abdomen, blackish thorax.

Habitat:

Suburban garden

Notes:

One of the two females that were in my moth trap this morning.
