Molothrus ater

Description:

Brown Headed Cowbird males have dark black bodies and deep brown heads, their plumage is really shiny. Common in rural areas, especially farms... they are seen as pest birds because they raid feeders and chase other song birds away. Females are lighter brown with darker wings. The female of the species never builds a nest, instead raids other birds's nests, removing their eggs and replacing them with her own.

Habitat:

Across US. Spotted in West Central Ga

Notes:

If you're unhappy with cowbirds raiding your feeders, stop filling them for about a week and they will move on.
