Description:

Family: Saturniidae. Subfamily: Hemileucinae. Male. Wingspan: 50-80 mm. Sexually dimorphic. FW is largely yellow. Yellow HW has a red streak along inner margin and large blue eyespots boldly outlined in black. Does not have mouthparts. Hosts: Deciduous trees, shrubs, and plants.

Habitat:

Woodlands. Came to light.

Notes:

3rd different male Io Moth spotted this season so far. Only one photo before he flew away. It's mating season. LOL
