Pacific Swallow

Hirundo tahitica

Description:

At a glance, this is generally perceived right away to be tahitica considering that it is a resident bird and commonly distributed throughout Philippine archipelago. Open confused as rustica as it has deep resemblance with the latter. But for further scrutiny of its true identity, Pacific Swallow lacks the obvious characteristic of dark breast band and long forked outer tail of a Barn Swallow.

Habitat:

probably nested beneath the nearby concrete bridge
