several inches long, brite yellow black and white striped with red lateral marks along underside visible along the posterior body end
Resting on the leaf surface of a goldenrod plant leaf, in mid-day, highly visible. is this aposematism? Is this caterpillar chemically defended?
Noctuidae, Cuculliinae, Cucullia sp. and most probably Cucullia convexipennis.
