That is a beautiful bee. I have never seen anything in the bee family close to that. It is huge. That is impressive. Good work. nice picture. keep it up.

Fun fact! Carpenter bees are so called because they build their nests by burrowing into wood, making long deep tunnels in wooden rafters, fallen trees, and telephone poles, and sometimes causing significant damage to homes. Carpenter bees do not form colonies or hives like honey bees- the females build individual nests in which they lay eggs.
