yes it can has this pattern... general it depends of the age! M. Didyma is so different in the pattern.

Thank you very much for the ID. My only concern regarding M. trivia is the greyish spotting at the end of the forewing (in red cycle in the new image I uploaded). Could M. trivia have this pattern?

It's Melitaea trivia. the melitaea didyma doesn't have this arches (the orange color, melitaea didyma has full black arches and not like these) in the wings.

My first thought was Melitaea didyma as well, but not a perfect much to my eyes too. Not a perfect much with M. trivia as well I guess. Unfortunately I don't have a ventral shot.

Hi Thanasis Samaras! It seems close to the Spotted Fritillary (Melitaea didyma), but not a perfect match to my eyes. Also similar is the Lesser Spotted Fritillary (Melitaea trivia). I guess you probably don't have a ventral shot?
