White Mountain saxifrage

Saxifraga paniculata

Description:

Saxifraga paniculata is a perennial and stoloniferous herbaceous plant with flowering stems 10–30 cm in height. Has highly dense basal rosette of leaves, which are leathery and flat. The ovate leaves are toothed and lime-encrusted. The flowers are white (picture 2), 1 cm across and sometimes have red or purple dots (picture 1)

Mountain calcareous place, grows in cervices of basal rock, 1600 m asl, Nature park Velebit
