Description:

This was a very small beetle (less than 1 cm perhaps) also found in a forested area. it played dead since the moment we touched it and only started moving after quite some time.

Habitat:

Paraiso Quetzal. San Gerardo de Dota/Cerro de la Muerte.

Anomala looks the most similar but just in case I will leave it at Rutelinae. Thanks! ;-)

My closest guess would be Scarabaeidae, Rutelinae. Genus is tricky. Anomala? Cyclocephala? Interesting to compare and check: Exomala orientalis from Asia?? Probably not, but may indicate the right family/subfamily...
