Japanese Beetle

Popillia japonica

Habitat:

Found resting on a Tiger Lily in home garden.

Notes:

Not uncommon on this road; oftentimes found eating just about any kind of plant. This season, they seem to prefer flowers (roses, lilies, petunias), and will go as far as eating some kinds of ferns as well.
