Javan Langur

Trachypithecus auratus

Description:

Diurnal and arboreal, endemic to Java and surrounding islands

Habitat:

rainforest

Notes:

I spotted these primates in a few places around Java, but got my best photos of them in Gunung Gede national park. I spotted this one near the entrance to the trail. He gave me the evil eye as I took photos standing below him, but they were fairly used to people and weren't bothered by the stream of visitors on the trail.
