Timber Rattlesnake

Crotalus horridus

Description:

Most interesting way I have ever found a snake out basking! This beautiful guy was light tan with dark blotches on the back and a bright orange stripe. He was basking on vines hanging from a dead tree, and the vines were over 2 feet off the ground!

Habitat:

Pretty thick oak forest that's very humid.
