Salticid Ant Eater Spider (nest eggs)

Description:

I'm pretty sure this nest belongs to this spider. Each white spot contains small eggs, some of which have hatched, and the entire structure including the surrounding web is no larger than a twenty cent coin (AU). I spotted a few of these nests in various locations, but only on this one species of tree - the Red Gum (Angophora leiocarpa). Information on the spider can be found at the reference link.

Habitat:

This nest was spotted on a native gum in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens at Mt. Coot-Tha.

Notes:

Since this spotting, I have now found one other tree species that these spiders nest in, and that is She-oak (Casuarina glauca). Look just above the bird in this spotting - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/731...
