Wild Potato Vine

Ipomoea pandurata

Description:

Vine with funnel-shaped white flowers (with purple centers) and heart-shaped leaves. Native wildflower in the morning glory family. Edible root (when cooked), much like its cousin, the sweet potato.

Habitat:

At mixed hardwood forest edge, on the side of a dirt road.
