Cybosia mesomella
The Four-dotted Footman is my Swedish contribution to moth week 2014. This is a day active moth and it flies low between blades of grass where it often sits down to rest. You can find it in very different habitats such as meadows, heaths, bogs and woodland. The wingspan of the Four-dotted Footman is 24-33 mm and the flight time is June-August. The larvae feed on lichens.
Meadowland, mid day.
Four-dotted Footman belongs to the family Arctiidae. It ican be found the Palearctic ecozone. Mothapalooza 2014
