Black-chinned Hummingbird

Archilochus alexandri

Description:

Slightly larger than a Ruby Throat. Dull metallic green back with a greyish breast. Wing tips rounded and bill slightly curved. Tends to pump its tail as it hovers.

Habitat:

Porch feeder.

Notes:

There are now 4 distinct birds (male, female and 2 immatures) coming to the feeder daily. Because of territorial issues, I have put out a second feeder in the back yard.
