Drosera

Drosera

Description:

Drosera, also known as sundew - for the glistening drops of mucilage at the tip of each tentacle - is one of the largest groups of carnivorous plants. Insects that get attracted to the mucilage are consumed by the plant. They provide necessary mineral supplements to the plants as they grow in poor soil.
