Male: Crimson face and bill. Gray head. Crimson extending to the rump - upper-tail coverts and full length of tail. Black central on abdomen and under-tail coverts. Female: Face and bill a dull red. Olive gray with crimson wash body.
Pandanus, canegrass, paperbark, lush grasses and crops.

Thank you Shanna. I thought the same thing when I saw these pics too - and I'm thinking snow isn't going to happen here anytime soon! :D I think it's a salt bush but I'm not sure. Glad you enjoyed them :)
This is absolutely stunning. It looks like it's in snow... and I'm guessing nothing could be further from the truth since you're in the Kimberley somewhere! Just gorgeous. I hope I see one of these one day.
